Dr. Shin is currently an assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering at New Mexico Tech. His research interest lies in the areas of computer security and privacy, especially, access control, federated identity management, mobile and pervasive computing, secure software engineering, and applied cryptography. His research at Tech has been supported by National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, Sandia National Laboratories, Intel, and New Mexico Tech. Prior to joining New Mexico Tech, he was actively involved in a variety of research projects sponsored by NSA, DoE, ETRI, and Bank of America. Dongwan received his PhD in Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
