  About Me

I am currently working in the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) as a senior research scientist and adjunct faculty.   My current research involves image processing and analysis, information security, bioinformatics, computational intelligence and applications.

 Research Interests

My Ph.D. dissertation is about data mining with computational intelligence and its applications in image steganalysis and bioinformatics.   Steganalysis is the art and science of detecting the presence of hidden data in digital images, audios, videos, and other covers.   Bioinformatics and computational biology involve the use of techniques including applied mathematics, informatics, statistics, computer science, chemistry and biochemistry to solve biological problems usually on the molecular level.   Introduction to bioinformatics can be found in the following links:

         Currently, my interested topics include:

  • Data Mining
  • Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning
  • Microarray Gene Expression Data Analysis
  • SNP Data Analysis
  • Proteomics
  • Image (Audio&Video) Processing and Analysis, Steganography & Steganalysis
  • Information Security
