About Me
I got my Ph.D. in Compture Science from New Mexico Tech. My PhD advisor is Professor & Dr. Andrew H. Sung. I am currently working in the New Mexico
Institute of Mining and Technology (New Mexico Tech) as a senior research scientist and adjunct faculty. My
current research involves data mining, bio-medical informatics, multimedia computing and signal analysis, information forensics and security, computational analysis and pattern recognition.

Research Interests
My Ph.D. dissertation is about data mining with computational intelligence and its applications in image steganalysis and bioinformatics. Steganalysis is the art and science of detecting the presence of hidden data in digital images, audios, videos, and other covers. Bioinformatics and computational biology involve the use of techniques including applied mathematics, informatics, statistics, computer science, chemistry and biochemistry to solve biological problems usually on the molecular level. Introduction to bioinformatics can be found in the following links:
Currently, my interested topics include:
- Data Mining
- Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning
- Bio- and Medical-Informatics
- Image Analysis/Multimedia Computing & Signal Detection
- Information Security
- Digital Forensics
- Computational Applications
