Behavior: Missed an attempt on a Water Pipit.

Leonard Compagno saw a shrike chase a Lesser Goldfinch into a tall bush. The goldfinch went into the middle of the bush, and the shrike landed on top. After a few minutes, the goldfinch peeked out, decided the coast was clear, flew straight out and got nailed. The shrike carried it off in its feet.

The trick to finding a Bald Eagle on the refuge is to watch the large goose flocks. When they panic, it's generally because an eagle is approaching them. The eagle is in the exact center of the photo.
