Bosquecito Road starts at US 380 just east of the Rio Grande and heads north. Glenn's place is about three miles north of the highway.
Glenn observed this bird in his yard for about two weeks in mid-November. I've always found Glenn to be a careful, experienced observer. He's quite familiar with the species from growing up in Pennsylvania.

Near the restrooms between the 5th green and 6th tee there is a patch of scrub that was just loaded with quail today. They all flushed toward the houses east of the golf course and were generally pretty tame.
Route Long walk before Thanksgiving dinner, distance 4-5 miles. Home, Goad Street, Protestant cemetery, flood control dike north well beyond the golf course, back home via Turtle Bay.
