Behavior: There is a tall disused sign downtown that is usually adorned with a number of Rock Pigeons. I saw the hawk swoop at them and drive them all off, then stay perched while I photographed it.

Near the Hall Ranch, the last large private inholding before the end of the pavement.
Description: Seen quite well at close range in flight. Characteristic white wing stripes on an otherwise sand-colored large dove. Tail rounded with whitish terminal band.
Vocalizations: Characteristic song: 'who cooks for you'.
