11:20, leave Socorro for Water Canyon.
11:38, turn off US-60 on Water Canyon Road.
11:46, in the canyon proper.
12:00, at the end of the pavement.
13:03, start a Big Sit on the north side of the paved road, a few yards from the end of the pavement. This spot commands a view of a large, amphitheatre-like area of hillside and creekbed, and was fairly busy today.
13:43, drive up to the Langmuir Road checkpoint.
13:53, more sitting at the checkpoint.
14:30, back down the road.
14:40, hang out near the old turnaround loop.
15:05, drive briefly up to the new campground.
15:28, rolling out of the canyon.
15:41, out of the canyon mouth.
15:54, back on US-60.
16:13, brief excursion on some roads on the west side of Socorro. The road to Sedillo Springs is now heavily posted right from the end of Evergreen Drive.

Breeding: In the clearing right at the start of the Langmuir Road, one individual was collecting shredded bark and other nesting material, and taking it into a nest hole. The nest hole is shown in the last photo. It was about 14' above the ground.
