Route
0930, leave Socorro westbound on US-60.
0950, turn off on Water Canyon Road.
1015, in Water Canyon proper.
1030, walk from the end of the pavement up Copper Canyon Road and all the way to the private inholding at the end of the road.
1345, rolling.
1405, mouth of Water Canyon.
1425, back to US-60.
1515, south from San Antonio on NM-1.
1520, Bosque refuge, Marsh Loop.
1640, Seasonal Road and Farm Loop.
1700, leave the refuge.
Missed Not seeing any Canvasbacks at the refuge this time of the year is not surprising, but considering that Northern Pintails were the most numerous duck last winter, I was surprised not to see a single one today.
At least 26 Pronghorn along Water Canyon Road.
