Description: ``It was a typical `Solitary Vireo' with bold
white wingbars and bold white spectacles. The upperparts of the
bird were a uniform olive color (including the crown and cheeks),
while the underparts were a dingy white with an olivish wash to
the sides. The contrast between the olive cheeks and the whitish
throat was not sharp but diffused. The bird fed in the
cottonwoods in a typical slow vireo fashion...there have been
wintering Cassin's Vireos in the Las Cruces area in several of
the past five or six years.''
