   Abstract:

It is close to certain that despite their perceived weaknesses, large language models such as ChatGPT will dominate every sphere of information delivery ecosystem. In this talk, we will explore ChatGPT's potential use in online learning, and its strengths, weaknesses and potentials. We will particularly discuss how LLMs are disrupting authentic assessment and challenging equity. We will discuss some counter measures to address the assessment hurdles the online learning community is facing.
