Dr. Michael Doyle has initiated a collection of all publications of NMT authors. Mr. Williams Utaman (williams.utaman@student.nmt.edu) is joining us today to discuss.
Catalog
At faculty senate yesterday, a motion to continue with the old PDF was rejected due to the insistence of the registrar that the new catalog at catalog.nmt.edu will be ready for prime time.
Nuke the IT Capstone?
In a recent discussion of the IT program, it was proposed that IT 481/482 be eliminated and replaced by two additional technical electives. There are strong pros and cons to this proposal.

  • 481/482 is at present a perpetual underenrolled uncredited overload on one or more faculty
  • The overload used to be shared by CS and BTM, but no more.
  • Eliminates a signature element of the IT program that we brag about
Nuke IT?
The question was raised as to whether the IT program should be eliminated.
Dr. Stavely: 49ers event?
I've told Advancement that 49ers is too soon to do an event celebrating Dr. Al Stavely, but I'd be happy if I were wrong about that. More broadly what do we want to do for Dr. Stavely?
