Active Shooter Training

Dr. Jackson has been, I think, deliberately highly ambiguous about whether folks should feel obligated to spend the in-service day on Friday taking the active shooter training. My understanding is that you aren't obligated to sign up for either morning or afternoon session, but if you aren't signing up, you should send him an e-mail (you can CC: me if you want) indicating that you are unavailable or otherwise declining to participate in that training. I would be happy to speculate on why he is asking for this.
