Agenda for CSE Department Meeting 2-13-23
- PAR meetings
- If you haven't scheduled your PAR meeting with me yet, please do so.
- Research @ Tech Day Feb 20
- Schedule Here
- Summer and Fall Schedule already
- Especially Summer. We can make requests, but need rationale to get
VPAA approval. I think they want classes that will support academic-year
offerings rather than cannibalize. Are there any requests or suggestions?
Summer 2022 we had a CSE 122 with 5 students. Summer 2021
we had a CSE 107 with 11 and a CSE 122 with 6.
5-6 students is pretty marginal for an undergrad class, although for those
students who need it, it is pretty important.
- Sysadmin Report
-
- Sysadmins are starting to make some forward strides
- Current Sysadmins: Garrett Wood, Korbin Shelley, David Chamberlain,
Dominic Donofrio, Tommy Pham, Remy Mujynya, Maya Savino.
- They would like requests to come via mail to sysadmin@cs.nmt.edu
rather than just verbally, so that it gets documented.
- Various historic things are questionmarks. For example, gitlab.
- Building some new equipment, e.g. for 213
- Raising the standards of what is provided, e.g. for TAs and RAs.
- If you have any larger instructional or research equipment/admin needs,
let me know and I will see what can be done
- Large opportunities to write equipment/infrastructure grants or make
other equipment requests, I kind of need to maintain a wishlist
- My TODO list for them is at
http://www.cs.nmt.edu/~jeffery/todo-sysadmin.html
- Assessment status
- We are on Fall 2022.
- Have: CSE 122, CSE 221
