Lab Contact Tracing
A question for those of you who have a research lab. Do we want to have students entering research labs e-mail Melanie, or do we (as a department) want to use the MinerSafe app?
Advisory Board
Based on your feedback, the advisory board will next convene early in the fall semester, rather than during the summer. I am currently checking with them on the question of whether to pick a Saturday, or stick with a weekday.
CLASS wants to do a BA in UX/UI
Taylor Dotson is discussing this Thursday with some of us at 10:30am. He worries "that it might get more easily derailed" if we all pigpile on him in that meeting. He would prefer keeping the meeting small and wants to send the whole CSE faculty a draft proposal for feedback after CLASS constructs one. Implicit in this is: he wants CLASS to own this, and he just wants a little cooperation from us. It is up to us how we feel about that.
Assessment
If you teach a course required for a degree, you probably have to do an assessment of that course. If you know what is needed for your courses, please gather assessment data and turn in your assessment report for your courses within two weeks of the end of the semester. If you don't know what assessment you need to do, please ask, and I will try to help figure it out.

For IT assessment, we need at least one graded homework or exam problem from the following courses to assess the 8 outcomes. MGT faculty provide 2, CLASS 1, and CS 5 -- from IT 321, 326, and 481/482. I am leaning on 326 here. For the prior 3 years ASAP, and for this year, within two weeks of end of semester.
