CSE Research Showcase
All students doing research in computer science, information technology, or management are invited to submit their work for public exhibition (and prizes) at the CSE Spring 2021 Research Showcase on April 15!
Submissions should be either a 3-4 page original research abstract in IEEE format, or a paper accepted at a peer-reviewed venue this past academic year. A proceedings will be placed in the department website and library; it will contain the full text of previously-unpublished papers as well as abstracts and links/citations for previously published papers submitted to the showcase.
Submitted papers will be selected for presentation in either the poster session or the presentations session as follows.
1-2:15pm - poster session
A virtual poster presentation will consist of a 3-minute overview talk followed by virtual Q&A in a breakout room for your poster.
2:15-3:30pm - presentations
A virtual presentation consists of a short talk followed by a period for public questions. The length of the talks will be established after the number of abstracts selected for presentations is determined.
Submission Instructions
CSE Research Showcase submissions should be sent by e-mail to jeffery@cs.nmt.edu by 11:59pm on March 27th, 2021. Submissions will be peer reviewed by faculty and/or graduate students. Notifications and feedback will be provided to the submitter by April 4th. This precedes the deadline for submission to the institute-wide SRS so that feedback may be used to improve the work. Submitters are encouraged to also submit their work for the institute-wide SRS.
