Hardware Architecture Graph

Overview:

Generate a a graph describing the architecture of the Exemplar computer system.

Details:

You are expected to create a graph where each CPU is a node, and each communications link available is a link. Aggregated communications links should link to a node to indicate the aggregation, while point to point communications should just be links between the processors they link together. Your writeup must include:

  1. The set of processor nodes (how many, any pertinent details, such as memory sizes, types, and relative speeds, if available)
  2. The set of communications nodes (if any) for aggregated communications paths such as shared ethernet, shared memory, and communications busses for crossbar switches, with the numbers, speeds, capacities, etc. as applies to each.
  3. A picture of the graph (may be hand-drawn) with an accompanying key of any terms or notations needing further explanation.

Extra Credit: (1 point each)

  1. Include the "front-end" computer in the graph with its communications links and descriptions.
  2. Include a hypergraph with one node for each category of CPU and communications node type, and the needed interconnecting links. for each (horizontal and vertical) axis for the panels.
