Exactly ten miles south of Datil on NM-12, this stock
tank and accompanying overflow pond are located just
beyond the fence on the west side of the road.

With a foot of snow on the ground, the overflow pond at
the stock tank was busy with longspurs and Horned Larks
coming to drink and bathe.
