The first MAWS field season is referred to as the 2004 season; it fell in winter 2003–2004.
Because the MAWS program was started after the MAPS
program stopped using the obsolete micro-aging codes
(HD, UPP, and UNP), these codes do not appear in the
output record.
The cloacal swab field was not present until the 2007 field season.
